Our home

 Welcome to our sweet apartment! Kenny and I have worked really hard on setting everything up and making it ours, and we absolutely love it here. Here is your virtual tour of our humble abode.

I like to call this the magician's corner because this is where the magic happens. this will be the kitchen that started it all once I have revolutionized the cooking and baking industry.  

This blog is going to have a lot of pictures, but hey, I feel like they can do a better job of showing how fun married life is. 

Nelly is a little depressed. She misses all of her people and dog buddies back in Birmingham but she also has a newfound love for Kenny. She does not come out of her kennel expect to lay by the fire EXCEPT for when Kenny is home. She turns her charm on and is absolutely all over of him the second he walks in the door until she has worn herself out. 

(Side note- Kenny's only requirement with our apartment search was that it have a fireplace. we found our awesome apartment and it had no fireplace so yours truly found him this electric stove online. it shoots out tons of heat and the surfaces don't get hot at all, we love laying in front of it. i highly recommend them)

My husband is without a doubt the funniest man on Earth. We laugh all day, I really should have washboard abs, but if you sneak ahead and look at the next picture you know why I don't. This is how Kenneth dressed up to take Nelly out to pee. That is a curtain rod in his hand he used as a walking stick and my burberry hat he gave me for my birthday. And pajamas. We were laughing so much we both forgot our keys and locked ourselves out. Don't worry Kenny saved the day and found a way in while I texted Kitty about how cold I was. 

 I MADE THIS!! before you are too impressed, this key lime pie recipe is like falling off a log it is so easy. It's 1/2 c lime juice, a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, 5 beaten egg yolks and a pre-made graham cracker crust.

                                 And key lime pie just happens to be Kenny's favorite desert.

I love this picture of Kenny and Nelly. Anytime Kenny holds Nelly she goes limp overcome with emotions that she has all of Kenny's attention. Every morning when I she wakes up she runs to Kenny's side of the bed jumps up, searches under all the covers for him, takes a quick loop around the apartment looking for him and realizes he's isn't here. She then retreats back into her kennel (where she is now).

Tonight I am making some soup for dinner. Virginia and Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia have been declared to have a widespread flu epidemic. So, wash your hands folks. Praise the Lord for being our healer and for chick tortilla soup.
