Mirror mirror on the wall...

I am my mother after all!! (Let me explain) To decorate our apartment Kenny and I just brought what we had used from college and mixed it all together. After four months of living with some great but not necessarily matching furniture we decided to go for a more put together look. So, how am I like my mom? Well just last year she painted our house stark white and neutralized everything in it. We thought she was crazy. We even called our house the insane asylum, minus the padded walls. After looking at so many blogs about decorating we decided we liked the neutral look to, and so began our many projects. Without having to rob one of Virginia's fine banks we started researching DIY (do it yourself) projects. We have a few in mind, and today the first one was completed! We painted Kenny's dresser and sanded it down to make it look old. We walked around Old Town on Saturday and saw a dresser much like this one for $3600 big ones. We spent 30 bucks on supplies and are super pleased with the results.

With all our stuff back on it. Don't worry! The next thing to be neutralized is the lamp!! Rome wasn't built in a day!
