One Blessed Girl

This past Sunday while I was getting ready for our marriage small group, Kenny and Nelly took a nap. (Well, Kenny did. Nelly just likes to be next to Kenny, even if she isn't tired, she just likes to be his guard dog). I was in the kitchen (probably stuffing my face) and couldn't believe that this was my view. I am so blessed. I know I rag about the weather, and being away from home, and whatever else comes our way, but bottom line the Lord has been consistently gracious. I do not deserve that man lying in the bed and yet the Lord gave him to me anyway.  His love is so sweet and selfless and Christ like; he is such a hard worker (which explains the mid afternoon nap) and even loves that crazy dog lying next to him. And while Kenny is the best husband that I could ever imagine, truth is- it is just a testament of our faithful Lord. The way the Lord has been orchestrating our love story is such a beautiful testament of who He is. Faithful. Loving. Forgiving. And over the top gracious. He does not judge, hold grudges, get even or remember our sin. His love is so overwhelming yet gentle and peaceful. When I see this picture, I reminded of so much love that I have experienced in our Lord and in Kenny. 

Walk today in the unfailing love and grace of Jesus Christ.
