Talk about some April showers, more like April tornaderrrs! I am watching the ABC 3340 news right now, stress anything everything from pita chips to toast to oatmeal, anything I can find in the pantry. I just keep claiming we serve a Lord who can calm storms!
A couple shots of cute Caleb from work- the first in his painting apron and the second in his Elmo suit (obviously). I asked him to put a shirt on so we could go play out side, this is what he brought out.
Today on our outdoor adventure we crossed the bridge and saw this big guy! Highlight of the day, for sure.
And you guessed it... I have spent my free time painting more things white. I have a problem! But hey, the first step is admitting it, so I am already on the road to recovery that I plan on following through with but only after I paint everything in the house white!
This is the desk from few posts ago. The stain I painted over it turned my shabby chic white desk into an ugly yellow desk that needed a new paint job. That trusty quart of paint has gone a million miles!
Our friends, John and Whitney gave us some side tables that they didn't want and one was my latest victim today. We still have a long way to go on neutralizing everything but we are taking baby steps and working hard to make it all flow.
Our room is almost done. Now we just need some new curtains, which we are in the process of getting. Then the room is complete. Also, another thing you might not notice about our room, but it has changed is...drumroll please... we got a new duvet insert. Yes, we just got one before we got married and yes we are so wasteful and yes while I was making my bed Monday morning I thought I had torn my back out picking that fatty up off the ground. I had had enough. Since when does picking up a blanket full of feathers act as a early morning workout? So, I am not off my soapbox and more than pleased with our new bedding.
Don't worry, I haven't forgot to tell you about the big news yet, but it still isn't time! Also, I am in desperate need of advice on recovering my sofa. If you have any knowledge on the subject, please give me a shout!
Love love love all the white!! I want my sidetables back now ;-) hahahah
