After too much moving, sweating, lifting, towing and unpacking, we have a new home!! The weekend would have been a lot easier if we hadn't tried to cram in two projects but with two high D personalities, there is really no stopping us.
Project #1: We got this dresser for a whopping zero dollars. This lady was using it in her basement to hold paint and little garage what nots, she is moving now and just wanted someone to take it. So after a day of unpacking our new house we went to this lady's house and brought it back. True statement: this hunk of wood weighs give or take two billion pounds.
No problem here, handy dandy Kenny patched the broke back up with a staple gun in no time.
And here is the finished product....
You thought it was goiong to be white didn't you? We were feeling a little adventurous and went with a light blue. At first we were concerned this was going to look like it belonged in a room full of cotton candy and Easter eggs but once we started distressing it, we started loving it! I don't have knobs on it yet, but I am planning on putting some clear crystal ones.Project #2: Painting Kenny's kitchen table. You can't really tell from the pictures but the chairs are stained a yellow-ish color along with the kitchen table. Maybe you can if you scroll down and look at the next picture.
BAM! White all up on the kitchen chairs and table. I also recovered the cushion in a super neutral fabric. We covered it in a gloss to keep the table and the chairs the whitest white possible!
The final look:
Needless to say, Nelly is really stressed here. Having so much space to run, access to lots of sun, a backyard and a miniature dachshund next door has really taken a toll on her. This is why we couldn't get mad at her licking Kenny's cereal bowl clean and instead just took a picture!

Let the virtual tour begin. Keep in mind, Rome wasn't built in a day. There isn't a single thing on the walls and random stuff is everywhere. But just so you can get a general idea of why I am obsessed with our new home-
This is the den, I intentionally didn't show you the sofa. We got a new (NEUTRAL, duh!) sofa cover today but I cannot figure out how to put it on! I am waiting for my super handy husband to come home and help! The red and gold just doesn't flow with all the white and baby blue!
Our jungle back yardAren't these sweet? My mom got them for us! So appropriate, cake topper and all!
Welcome to Mayberry, where we sit on the porch and drink ice cold cherry coke. PLEASE tell me you know that Rascal Flatt song or that comment means nothing to you
Heading upstairs now where the crazy eyed dog awaits
Room number one, yes a blow up mattress. Classy, I know.
Room number two
Our little garage sale find shelf in the corner of our room
And our room, with our bare walls!
That is all for now! Once we get some things hung and the sofa cover fixed expect more pictures! Two extra rooms means you readers need to come visit me!
