Yet Another Weekend Recap

This weekend was a restful weekend at the Byrd home. It's the only weekend I wasn't visiting or had visitors so we took advantage of our down time and slept too long, ate too much (shoot, we do that with visitors, too) and played outside. Friday night was movie night. Well that's not so true. We worked too.  Saturday was hours and hours of car maintenance and watch Alabama football day. Plus take the guest bedroom duvet cover to the sketchiest laundromat in the world. I mean it was so terrifying I feel like an "I survived Laundromat '11" is totally called for. Anywho, Sunday was enjoy the perfect weather day. We played tennis then walked our pups. We take them to this big field and play fetch. They love it and it makes them tired for the rest of the day; so it is perfect for everyone.
This is the first house you see when you enter our neighborhood. They add a new ghost/skull/witch every day. We drive by multiple times and day and we still are noticing things we have never seen. I am thinking this is going to be the house to beat for Christmas decor. Bring it. Anywho, here we go on our virtual walk, if you will.

As you walk out of the neighborhood to get into the next, we have to walk over a bridge that Chaco is terrified of. He doesn't understand why the cars make so much noise and instead of cowering in fear he tries to chase the cars. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

If you are not trying to keep Chaco from killing himself you can look to the left and enjoy the pretty changing leaves and river. Go ahead, enjoy.
Ah, yes. We are finally at the little field where Chaco and Nelly will run and play in the grass and sand volleyball court until they have sand oozing out of their eyes.
In the above picture the dogs look to be at about the same pace/agility level. False. Let me break this down for you.
Ah yes, here you can see how easy it is for Nelly to pull ahead in the race for the prized stick. If you still are not convinced...

Here comes Nelly, full speed ahead, agile like a ninja, quick like a fox
And minutes after Nelly has been chewing on the stick, here comes Chaco. Just get here when you can buddy!

Yesterday after a day of fun in the sun we decided we were craving a hamburger. Ok, fine. We decided that before we ate breakfast and it was the main topic of conversation during our tennis match. There is only one place to go when you are craving a hamburger. We had never been there before but we had always wanted to go. It's called The Burger Joint. And OH.MY.GOSH. It was awesome!!

I got a hamburger, Kenny got the turkey burger- which he later regretted and wondered why he didn't get a  for real burger at the burger joint. Match it with some sweet potato fries and I swear it was the best burger I have ever eaten. It is 9 in the morning and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Then we washed it down with a chocolate and vanilla  bean milkshake. Talk about a food coma. Gluttons? Sure. Would I do it again? In a heart beat.

I must stop day dreaming about The Burger Joint and go do a little (a lot) of house cleaning. Kitty comes on Wednesday to spend her Fall Break with us! We are so excited she is coming. Expect a super long post sometime next week all about my awesome sister and our fabulous time together.
