Yesterday Kenny had duty which means he has to stay on base all day and night, which means Nelly and I get pretty bored here at home. For example, the only subject matter I could come up with for this blog is Nelly. So, here is a picture slideshow of Princess Nelly.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this had to be the day I fell in love with Kenny. He came to visit in Auburn and slept in my bed. Nelly's kennel is next to my bed so she was in there with him. I had to go to class but I wanted to take Nelly out before I went so I was going to sneak in there and get her out. This is what I found. Kenny had been up for hours and had already taken Nelly out and was now snuggling with her. Kenny captured two hearts this weekend, Nelly doesn't respond this well to many people.
Nelly LOVES my dad.
Sweet Nelly as a puppy loves shopping at Walgreens
I am not sure how to describe this picture. Nelly somehow straddled Honey's head and sat like this during a football game. Hilarious
Here is Nelly and her friend Honey again. Nelly is giving a little friendly, encouraging bite showing Honey the areas where she could lose a few pounds. Nelly is always so thoughtful.
No. We are most certainly not obsessed.
Nelly posing for the camera, and looking good as the poster child daughter for the military. God bless America.

When Kenny gets home from work it is always a competition between us to see who can get his attention. I always win, but she puts up a good fight by yipping, screeching, making these abnormal gurgling noises, biting my ankles, scratching the flesh off of Kenny's legs - basically being Snookie trying to get him to look her way. When he finally does pay her some attention, she eats it up - as you can see.

This is HILARIOUS. When Kenny and I take Nelly on a drive we are usually going to a park to play with her. Then we might run into Starbucks, where dogs are not allowed and she has to sit there for a maybe a painful 5 minutes. When she knows she isn't coming with us, she pitches the largest fit. Diva. Here is one of her fits captured on camera.
AS YOU CAN TELL, I am in desperate need of some quality time with human beings, well maybe just one particular human. Kenny has a three days weekend and we are so excited!
I'll leave you with something a little bit more substantial than pictures of Nelly. I just started reading this book called The Divine Romance by Gene Edwards. It's (so far) about creation and the Lord making a mate for Adam. The Lord has just created Eve and she meets Adam and (of course) they fall into the deepest most passionate and romantic love at first sight you could ever imagine. This is how their love is described -
"They are never distracted from one another, for there is no distraction. In their eyes, nothing else exists! He loves her continuously. And with abandoned, innocent, unbridled passion, she loves him in return. She has full confidence in her place beside him. No reassurances need be given that he loves her. She never questions, but totally excepts his love. There is no fear of displeasing him or losing him. She is beautiful, she knows that, yet there is no pride. Rather, a deep inward knowing that he is lord of all earth, and she is... his perfect mate."
Lord may I love You and Kenny with an abandoned, innocent, unbridled passion that you both loved me with first.
May all you readers out there know the love of Jesus that sees no flaw in you. He sees only your beauty.
Song of Solomon 4:7
