It's Monday!

WOOHOO!! It is Monday, and that means so many things for the Byrd family! First and foremost... today was my first day of work!! I got a job!! The Lord is so faithful! I am a babysitter for two cute as pie boys a couple days a week!! It is the PERFECT job for me! Why you might ask? Well let me tell you. First of all, I wanted something to keep me busy but not busy enough to keep me away from Kenny and Nelly, after all I am up here to serve him and be his wife and I didn't want something taking me away from my time with him! Buuut, I am bored and nothing like making some extra money so we decided nannying was a great job! It is great training (and birth control, but not really because these boys are super easy, polite and sweet). I work in the mornings and then come home and have plenty of time to clean, cook, play with Nelly and catch up with blogging of course!

Today we also welcome winter for us folks up in Alexandria! It snowed on Saturday and it feels like December out there! I miss humidity and sweating from April to November in Alabama.

In other news, (the contents of this blog are all over the place!) I am learning a new trait. You see, my brain is turning to mush so I am trying to challenge myself, read more, learn new things, after all, when will I ever have this much free time on my hands? And I must admit, I copied my life long friend Carly on this one- whose blog you can find if you click me. We are pretty much in the same place right now- away from home, nannying, loving married life and our dogs. All this to say, Kenny is teaching me how to use his super fancy camera. I'm learning about white balance and ISO and shutter speed.  The camera weighs more than a very fat child but it is so worth lugging it around. We took Nelly to the park behind our apartment to test it all out. Here are a few- (enjoy my mad photography skills)
Everything is starting to bloom here, who doesn't love Spring?! (And don't think about the pollen when you answer that question)
Yes, how scenic I know. But I do like this picture, its funny how when you slow down you notice things you have never seen before.
For you Mom. It's purple- your favorite color besides white and pansies. No deer here!
Let's be honest, he is a hunk no matter the camera or lens or pixel what not
 Such an athlete!
 Super woman!

That is all for now! Blessings!
