April showers bring May flowers

 Today is Saturday and Kenny has duty. Bummer. Nelly and I slept late drank some coffee and just rolled around on the sofa. Nelly has been high energy all morning so I decided I was going to take her on a walk around a trail on Kenny's base. Kenny walked with us as we set out on the 2 mile trail in the sunny but cold weather. About a mile into the trail it started pouring. We were all soaking wet as we trudged on the last mile of the trail. It was actually pretty fun, and Nelly is exhausted, so it was totally worth it. However, she was soaking wet and muddy so she had to have a bath today. She is mad, but she will get over it. Here are some pics from today.

And to top it all off, we ran to the car to crank up the heat and get out of the rain. As soon as we hopped in, who knew. The dark clouds cleared, the sun came out and it turned out to be a delightful afternoon. We were soaking wet and it was just a sunny splendid day. How adorable, I know.
