HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTY!!

 So, I normally do not blog when Kenneth is home, BUT today is a special day, TODAY IS MY AWESOME SISTER KITTY'S BIRTHDAY!!!

THE BIRTHDAY GIRL,       KITTY!!!!!!!

Since Kenny and I cannot be in Alabama today to celebrate the sweet life of Kitty we figured we would blog about her and let the world know a couple of the wonderful things about our sister...

1. Kitty is the easiest person in the world to be around. She is so laid back and loves just sitting around. But, somehow she makes it so fun and soon enough everyone around will be acting up and laughing lots.

2. She is so supportive of Kenny and I and our marriage. She made the most wonderful slideshow for our rehearsal dinner and took so many pictures of us. Without her, we would have no pictures of us to look at when we are eighty. It means so much to me to have her support. I'm already getting choked up.  

3.  Kitty is so different from anyone else in the family. She doesn't have a competitive bone in her body and she isn't a whip-cracking, getting things done type of personality, which is awesome because she gets along with everyone in my family and cools us down during intense games. We would have probably all died at the beach in 2008 over a way too heated volleyball game. But Kitty can put things in perspective and make us all cool down. 

4. She is obsessed with a few things- Ron Weasley, Justin Beiber, Harry Potter in general, her camera, Honey, and chacos. Needless to say she isn't your typical college freshman. She is different and doesn't let anyone change who she is and what she likes. She is strong and dedicated and her love is so loyal. She is really one of a kind. 

5. She has a way of making everyone around her feel so special and loved. That is why you can't walk away from Kitty without feeling like her best friend. She laughs with everyone, relates to everyone and really focuses on them and encourages them. She is a blessing to be around.

6. She is a fabulous photographer. I kind of noted on this earlier, but she will stand behind a camera for hours then spend hours editing pictures because she simply loves it. She is passionate about something, which is so cool. You normally don't see many people her age who are so involved and good at something like that. 

7. A reason involving Nelly (you knew it was coming!) Even our puppy dog Nelly is crazy about Kitty. Just the other day we were talking on the phone and she started talking to Nelly. The princess was laying the bed, she did a swan dive off the bed and then a massive leap to me and stood at my feet wagging her tail a million miles an hour. When she realized Kitty wasn't here she went back into her kennel. 

8. Kitty is the one girl in my life who has always been there for me. (besides, of course, my parents but since they birthed me they kinda had to be there) Since there are only four years between us we have been through almost everything together. We were watching home videos a while ago and unfortunately there was one that had me blowing out Kitty's first birthday cake candles. Oh yeah, she was mad, probably still is- but you see Kitty it was just me having your back!! Thank you for being so consistent (through my Hanson phase, the capsize!, and of course the diet coke and skittles in the summit parking lot) and loving and forgiving and awesome. Kitty, you are my sister but also my friend and I am so blessed by your friendship. I can trust you with anything and everything. I look up to you in so many ways and I am forever grateful that the Lord gave me a sister like you!! (and shmoo! shout out to my other wonderful and awesome sister)


9. Gosh, it's about time I mentioned her singing ability. Not many of you know this because we try to keep it on the down low in that we live two lives like Hannah Montana way, but Kitty is the lead vocals in a band called the Dorr Schveesters, back up vocals being Shmoo and myself. We are a pop sensation and look forward to our debut on Glee's season 3. 


10. Last, and certainly not least, Kitty has such an awesome heart for the Lord. You can see so much of His love in little things she does every day. She is humble and a servant. She is patient and understanding. She is kind and fun and brings out the best in you. 

WE LOVE YOU KITTY!! HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!! WE WISH WE COULD BE THERE TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!
