Easter Weekend

This past weekend was sunny, relaxing, and wonderful. During our Saturday afternoon nap, we got a knock on the door. That never happens. Kenny, having gone to boot camp where he had to shoot out of bed in .2 seconds and start doing push ups or something, was at the door answering it like he had been awake for hours. I hadn't even opened my eyes by the time he was back. It was a boutonniere to wear to the Easter service from my grandmother.....it made for a beautiful little vase of flowers by the kitchen sink :)

Saturday evening my super romantic husband and I went on a date into Old Town. We went to the cutest baby store to get our friends a gift. John and Whitney Kroll just had a baby boy! I would post the adorable picture she sent me but I feel she should have the rights to the first internet pic. But, check her blog out here to see sweet baby Charlie. Then we went to the Lighthorse for dinner. It was delicious! Now that I blog I take pictures of my food when we got out to eat, I guess soon enough I will start wearing a fanny pack and some white keds.

Then we headed our stuffed selves to see Tyler Perry's new Madea movie. It was hilarious!!

Yes, Kenneth was driving while these pictures were being taken, but for some reason I thought it was a Kodak moment.

Sunday involved the Easter service at church, naps for Kenny while I painted yet another piece of furniture white. Our green bedside tables were washed white as snow in honor of the Easter holiday and our risen savior. At first, I left the grooves and handles dark but it just looked off, so I kept slathering on the white.

Sunday afternoon it was stifling hot outside so we headed to the park to get our tan on. Nelly was less than thrilled and kept digging in the sand of the volleyball courts we were lying on to get to the cool sand. She was covered. Then she saw some shade by Kenny and took her sandy self onto his clean towel. He was elated, he just loves her so!

Sunday afternoon... well, was weird in my opinion. We found this lady on Craig's List selling everything in her house, so of course our curiosity was peaked. We went to her house (good thing we weren't killers) and claimed some pretty cool stuff. She is divorcing and wants all new stuff. We will get it in about two weeks after she has her house appraised. Pictures to come, of course!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!!
