Yesterday was one of adventure. We went to Great Falls Park about 40 minutes away from our house. Packed the dogs, lunch, lots of water, and of course the camera. We hiked around the prettiest area for about 2 hours and just had a blast. It's hard to believe just outside the city a place like this exists.
You could climb down to the water, and I felt like a garden elf. It was sooo cool. Nelly and Chaco were like little rock hopping ninjas. Very impressive for dogs with legs an inch long.
Nelly just had to rock climb...
There was a little beach towards the end, we hopped up on a rock and ate lunch.
That night we went out for Mexican with our friend Nicole. Her husband Kris is on an away mission so she came with us to celebrate our Irish heritage on such a lovely St. Patty's day by eating lots of Mexican food. After dinner we headed into Georgetown to get some cupcakes from Baked and Wired. Yes, this was the second time in three days for us to eat Mexican followed by cupcakes. I am not ashamed. We got out cupcakes to go and headed into DC. Why? Because another item needed to be crossed off our bucket list- See the monuments at night. Yes, we have been in DC at night, no we never went to see Abe. The monuments are SO MUCH COOLER at night!! It was so crowded, but we still had a blast.
Such a pretty view!

Lastly, we headed over to the White House. It was so pretty. We kept saying that we couldn't believe we lived here and we had to do this more often. And we will! Last night was so fun, it only took a year but I am really loving the DC area!
