Taylor Swift for President

Ok, so maybe not President, but her concert last night was incredible!! We went to dinner with a friend from Kenny's boot camp at Aria Pizzeria. Then we hopped on the Metro and went to the Verizon Center. 

Kenny has never been to a concert like this...with screaming girls and posters and light up whatchamacallits. He was speechless, well he just laughed a lot.

Poor Kenny, right? Sitting through this concert? Don't be fooled, Needtobreathe, one of his all time favorite bands was the opened for T Swift. They were so great! 

Excuse the picture quality. We weren't allowed to take Kenny's camera because it's a professional camera and they were a no no. So, we were left to take camera phone pics!

She closed the house down with Love Story. Got in a basket and floated around the whole place. It was wonderful. We were a whopping ten feet away from here. It was pretty stinkin' cool.

I have decided I like Taylor Swift even more now after her concert and here are my reasons.

1. She has great, catchy love songs. Who doesn't love a girly love song?

2. Not all of her music is catchy love songs, some are slow or sad or angry or about being a teenager, which brings me to my next point.

3. I think it is wonderful that someone famous has started singing songs about how tough that 14-17 year old awkward phase is and how it passes. Girls certainly aren't listening to their moms at that age, but at least Taylor Swift is encouraging them and relating to them.

4. She is not scandalous. She didn't wear one inappropriate outfit the entire time. Which is saying something, because there were at least 10 outfit changes, and you know what other pop stars are wearing... dental floss. 

5. She writes her own songs. That's legit. 

Last night was a blast. Pizza + Kenny + Taylor Swift = one perfect night
