A Week in Alabama

This past week I spent in Alabama catching up with great friends and spending some quality time with my family. On Friday and Saturday I went down to Auburn and got to see a lot of my college friends that I haven't seen in months!! I really can't put into words how awesome it was to see them. It is hard to believe sometimes that college is over and we won't just bump into each other at Big Blue Bagel every other day, which makes times like these even more precious!

 WAR EAGLE!

Yeah, these three people right here make my world go round. Love them.
Brynne is getting married!! (The girl on the left, the one on the right has been married for years, and she rocks)
A Toast to all the engaged couples!
I know I am biased but aren't my friends just the cutest little hoots you've ever seen?
And a close up on the pictures Beth and John made for the couples. So creative. Beth and John were the most wonderful hosts to all 14 of us for the weekend.
Then I spent five wonderful days at home. It was so much fun spending waking up early and seeing Shmoo off to school, running around all day with my mom, sitting around the fire pit with Jake, Shmoo and my dad and of course going to Pure Barre classes. Yeah, I put that in the same sentence with my family time so you would know how much I love it.
One morning I walked around the house with Kenny's camera. I have a feeling National Geographic is going to want to hire me when they see these next pictures.

Also, a large shout out to my mom, the avid gardener. She does all this herself. Aren't you impressed?

 Creepy spider, I know

It was (as it always is) an action packed week. I spent most of my time this weekend sleeping and catching up on some rest. I did manage to stay awake long enough for a field trip to Quantico, an Air Force base thirty minutes away from us. I am fascinated with this place because my favorite TV show, Criminal Minds is set there. Unfortunately we did not stumble upon the Criminal Minds set and meet all the characters and have the director request us to be extras in an episode like I had expected, but we did find this huge tent sale where there were mass quantities of food for really cheap. If we are ever stuck in our house for months at a time we have enough banana nut muffin mix, chicken noodle soup. Gatorade and green beans to keep us quite full. Sunday we went to DC Metro church and over to our friend's house for dinner. It was the best meal we have had in a while and we felt like it was Thanksgiving. The weather is chilly, lots of food, great friends and lots to be thankful for. We were just missing some pilgrim and indian attire.

This morning I spent cleaning the house, catching up on laundry and loving on the dogs. Tomorrow I am going to get some mums and pumpkins and maybe even a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks if I am feeling frisky. It's good to be back in VA with Kenny and my pups and this awesome Fall weather.
