Some little projects

Duty days are the worst. Kenny is gone for 24 hours so I do anything and everything to keep myself busy. Yesterday after looking at DIY projects on Pinterest for way too long I decided on a day of crafts. I made some fabric flowers with old fabric I had in our storage shed. They are my new obsession. I'm going to try and conquer a necklace with these flowers. But for now they are my centerpiece on my kitchen table. Flip over a wine glass and put a candle on top of it. Easy shmeasy.

Also, a little doo-dah of flowers. Nothing brightens up our house like a flower arrangement. So I cut up some lemons I had and took some lilies out of our front yard. I got that sterling silver tray for $4 at the thrift store. Love a good find.

And lastly, an air freshener. With two stinky dogs in our house we spend lots of money on air fresheners, candles, Febreeze sprays, etc. I found (on Pinterest, of course) how to make your own air freshener. A old salt and pepper shaker or mason jar, dump some baking soda in it and a couple of drop of essential oil. (I used lavender) Baking soda absorbs bad odor so it doesn't just cover up the smell it takes it away. Genius, I tell you.

Peace. Love. And crafts, of course.
